The Spring Equinox marks the balance between light and darkness, which can remind us of the duality of grief. Sometimes conflicting and out of balance, especially in early grief, both light and dark emotions coexist as we grieve. In grief, there are moments of acceptance, warmth, joy, and healing, but also times of sadness, longing, guilt, and loss. Grief holds space for both pain and healing - both can be essential to our journey.
We will create a communal space of healing by incorporating a community altar, breathwork, collage art, journaling, and shared time in community. The act of collaging allows for deep self-expression, helping us give form to emotions that might be hard to put into words.
A Grief Circle is a safe, sacred space to honor your grief, hold space for one another, and find connection as we ebb and flow. We welcome you to come as you are, with your grief and your love. All grief is welcome here: loss of people, transitions, illness, identity, societal, and beyond.
Participants are invited to bring photos, objects, or items that represent their grief for the altar and a journal. Light Snacks and Tea will be provided.
