Sacred Seasons Yoga: Late Autumn Edition w. Caressa (Lakewood)

  • Abide West `15810 Detroit Ave Lakewood, OH (map)

Flow at own your personal pace through yoga poses that help you transition from the late Summer warmth to the coming cooler months of Autumn. Deep stretches of the hips and low back, balanced with calming forward folds help the body find ease and expansion. This Late Summer session is dedicated to the elements of water and earth, where we ground ourselves in the stability of our bones, while finding a fluidity in our movements that reflect the changing season.

Release long-held tension through throat and belly-centered sighing and self-soothing sound-making, which ushers in the practice of chanting mantra. Opt to join in with this vocal expression or lay back and receive the healing vibrations of sound.

Bring awareness and care to your body as you are guided through gentle self-massage and reiki.

Beginners and seasoned practitioners alike will benefit from the wisdom gained in this workshop, where deep breathing practices, mudras (hand gestures), and meditation are woven throughout the session to lead you to a heightened state of awareness.

Yoga encompasses so much more than simply the poses we often see in the media. This is a unique opportunity to expand your understanding of these ancient, sacred practices where you are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and explore your edge.

Rediscover your connection to Source through these rituals of yoga as well as an oracle card reading, with which we close our circle.

She started practicing yoga in 1996 and the style of yoga that I practice and teach is a combination of Integrative Yoga Therapy, Viniyoga, and Chi Gung, which are all slow, mindful and therapeutic approaches that adapt to the unique needs of each individual.

She received her 200 hr level of Yoga Teacher certification through the Brahmrishi School in Kent in 2006 and her 500 hr level through the Purusha School in San Francisco in 2010.

She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, practicing for over a decade, and offers a variety of massage styles, which include traditional table massage, pre/post natal, and Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, which she learned in Thailand in 2010.

She is a Certified Energywork Practitioner, Reiki Master, and since 2006, has been offering the healing modalities of Intuitive Reiki and Jin Shin Jyutsu.

She is a certified Life Celebrant as of 2007, and while creating ceremonies started as a way to unite the folks in her community around the cycles of the seasons, it continues to evolve into an offering of guidance through many of life’s rites of passage.
