The holidays are often seen as a time for joy and celebration, but for those who are grieving, they can bring up deep feelings of loss and sorrow. A Grief Circle is a safe, sacred space to honor your grief, hold space for one another, and find connection during this challenging season. We welcome you to come as you are, with your grief and your love. Together, we can create a healing, supportive space for all who are navigating this season with a heavy heart. All grief is welcome here – loss of people, transitions, illness, identity, societal, and beyond. We will create a communal space of healing by incorporating a community altar, gentle breathwork and movement, journaling, and shared time in community. Each element of this gathering is designed to support you in honoring your grief while offering a sense of solace and unity during the holidays.
· We begin our gathering by creating a community altar where participants are invited to bring photos, objects, or items that represent their grief.
· Grief can be held in our bodies, sometimes as tension, pain, or emotional blockages. To help release this and open space for healing, we will guide you through a gentle breathwork and movement practice.
· Following the breathwork and movement, we will offer a journaling practice to deepen your expression and reflection.
· As we close the circle, we will come together as a community to share our experiences, if we feel comfortable. This is a time to witness one another in our grief, to listen without judgment, and to offer compassion. In community, we find strength, and through shared stories, we can heal. If you prefer not to speak, simply being present in the shared space can be deeply healing. Our time in community is an invitation to connect, not just with others, but with the shared human experience of loss.
Light Snacks and Tea will be provided.
